WVU invites proposals from experienced mechanical contractors for the replacement of the existing chilled water production equipment at One Waterfront Place West Virginia University on behalf of its Board of Governors (BOG) located in Morgantown, West Virginia (WVU or University) is initiating this Request for Proposals (RFP) from qualified, experienced, and licensed Contractors for the following: The replacement of the existing chilled water production equipment at One Waterfront Place in Morgantown, WV. The project involves replacing the existing system with two (2) Owner Furnished, Contractor Installed (OFCI) 350-ton R-513A water-cooled magnetic bearing Trane chiller units, along with the necessary chiller pumps, cooling tower, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and all other required materials. The Proposer, herein also referred to as Contractor, shall provide all materials, labor, tools, and equipment required to complete the project in accordance with the construction documents provided and the standard of care required. Cutoff for Questions DATE: 07/26/2024 TIME: 12:00pm EST Liquidated Damages shall be One Thousand Dollars ($1000) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Substantial Completion and Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Final Completion. Substantial Completion shall be: 3/28/2025 Final Completion shall be: 4/12/2025
