NKSD - Building D Machine Shop Classrooms and HVAC Improvements. Site Address: 120 Fairway Drive. Site Directions: 120 Fairway Drive North Kingstown, RI. Description: The scope of work shall include the removal of the existing Food Service Office, the existing Building & Grounds Main Office, and the existing Building & Grounds Facility Office and convert these spaces into a Machine Shop Lecture Classroom and a Machine Shop Maker Classroom. The existing Archive File Room and the IT Storage Alcove space shall be removed and convert these spaces into a new Machine Shop Maker Classroom with a new Machine Shop Storage Room. All existing HVAC unit ventilators located at the new Machine Shop Lecture Classroom and at both Machine Shop Maker Classrooms shall be removed and replaced with new HVAC unit ventilators. The existing oil fired hot water boiler plant system assembly and both 275 gallon oil storage tanks located at the existing Boiler Room shall be removed and replaced with a new natural gas fired boiler plant assembly. The new natural gas service shall be furnished and installed by RI Energy. The North Kingstown School Department shall be responsible for the removal of all oil product stored in the existing storage tanks prior to the tanks being removed by the selected contractor. Two existing abandoned roof mounted exhaust fans located above the existing Main Corridor south end shall be removed and replaced with two new roof exhaust fans with new exhaust ductwork and new ceiling registers that will provide exhaust air from the existing Employee Break Room, the new Machine Shop Lecture Classroom, both Machine Shop Maker Classrooms and the new Machine Shop Storage Room. The two existing abandoned roof mounted exhaust fans to be removed, the existing roof curb assemblies at both locations shall remain in place to receive the new exhaust fans with ductwork assemblies. All new Machine Shop Maker Classroom equipment with compressed air systems shall be furnished and installed by the North Kingstown School Department equipment vendor. All new electrical power systems to serve all the new equipment to be installed at both new Machine Shop Maker Classroom locations shall be furnished and installed by the selected contractor. At both new Machine Shop Maker Classroom locations a new emergency eyewash station shall be furnished and installed by the selected contractor.
