The deadline to ask questions is 7/31/2024 5:00 PM CDT The Memorial Heights Redevelopment Authority (MHRA) has been allocated federal funding for the construction of sidewalks and shared-use paths within the combined boundaries of the 7th Congressional District and City of Houston Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone #5. The Zone may increase the size and scope of this project if it so chooses. The selected Contractor will be responsible for the following: Coordination with MHRA to determine the corridors best suited to provide increased access and connectivity. Completion of both the City of Houston's preliminary engineering process (Design Concept Report) and TxDOT's preliminary engineering process (Design Concept Conference). Providing public engagement support, as requested by MHRA. Completion of detail design, securing approvals from the City of Houston and TxDOT. Preparation of a TxDOT-compliant project manual. It is assumed that the MHRA will administer this project as a local-let. However, the potential exists for the City of Houston to let the project in partnership with MHRA. This will be determined in the project scoping phase. Providing bid-phase support services. Providing construction-phase design services. Providing construction engineering and inspection services. Providing materials testing support services. Providing landscape architectural services to mitigate existing tree protection and removal if necessary and to provide new street-trees where appropriate.
