The 2024 Road Program for Beaver Meadows Borough Will Consist of One (1) Intersection With Full Depth Reconstruction, One (1) Curbline Milling and Paving of a Borough Street, and One (1) Alternate Borough Street to Be Milled and Paved. Additional Information Can Be Found in the Project Specifications. A Certified Check or Bank Draft, Payable to the Order of the Beaver Meadows Borough or a Satisfactory Bid Bond Executed by the Bidder Naming Beaver Meadows Borough as Oblige and Acceptable Surety in the Amount of Ten (10) Percent of the Total Bid Shall Be Submitted With Each Bid. The Successful Bidder Will Be Required to Furnish and Pay for Satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond, Each in the Amount of 100% of the Contract Price With a Corporate Surety Approved by the Owner. The Owner Reserves the Right to Waive Any Informality or to Reject Any or All Items or Portions Thereof or to Waive Any Technicalities and Informalities in the Bid for the Best Interest of the Owner. Work shall include Class 1B Excavation (11.5" Depth), Subbase 6" Depth (No. 2A), Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Base Course PG 64S-22, <30 Million ESALs, 25.0 MM Mix, 4" Depth, and an overlay of Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Wearing Course PG 64S-22, <0.3 Million ESALs, 9.5 MM Mix, 1-1/2" Depth, SRL-L. Work shall include the following incidental items: mobilization/demobilization, maintenance and protection of traffic, sweeping of roadway; tack coat; milling of paving notches, driveways, and maintaining of curb reveals; and sealing of joints as necessary. The contractor is to retain the excavated material. Also incidental is the adjustment and applicable protection of one (1) manhole and/or any utility valves to match the proposed road surface.
