Renovation of a recreation facility in Aurora, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a recreation facility.

The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the complete installation, removal, disposal, and replacement of one (1) Roop Top Unit located at the Phillips Park Visitor's Center. Question Deadline 08/05/2024 at 8:00 AM CT Inquiries and/or questions pertaining to the provisions and specifications of this request for proposal package shall be directed to the Director of Purchasing, in writing at PurchasingDL@aurora.il.us. Questions will be answered via addendum and posted to the City's website at electronically by end of day, Wednesday, August 7, 2024. NO questions will be accepted or answered verbally. No questions will be accepted or answered after the aforementioned cut-off date/time. A Bid bond or a certified check payable to the City of Aurora in the amount of 10% of the Bid price is required with the Bid presented. A 100% performance and payment bond will be required from the successful Bidder. When required by State Law, please be advised that all Bids must comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and the Prevailing Rate of Hourly Wages in the City of Aurora where the Work is to be performed is to be paid to all persons on the project. Anticipated Award Date September 2024 The City of Aurora reserves the right at any time and for any reason to cancel this Invitation to Bid, to accept or reject any or all Bids or portion thereof, or accept an alternate bid proposal. The City reserves the right to waive any immaterial defect in any bid proposal, or technicality, informality or irregularity in the proposals received, and to disregard all nonconforming or conditional proposals or counter-proposals. Unless otherwise specified by the proposer or the City, the City reserves the right to hold the best proposals for ninety (90) days from the opening date set forth above. The City may seek clarification from any proposer at any time and failure to respond promptly is cause for rejection. The City further reserves the right to award the BID to the lowest responsible Proposer whose offer best responds in quality, fitness and capacity to the requirements of the proposed work or usage and therefore is in the best interest of the City. Contractor to include all work and any associated costs for a complete installation. Contractor is required to obtain all applicable permits. Local permit fees will be waived. Contractor to remove and dispose of the existing rooftop unit and all ductwork from the rooftop unit to the wall penetrations to the building. After this demo has been performed, the roofing contractor will remove the existing RTU curb, reinsulate and patch. Supply (3) 8' long 18" high roof rails for the new RTU. The new RTU to be set 3' off of the eave for future serviceability. Roofing contractor to set the (3) roof rails in an East/West direction. Roofing contractor to cut the roof membrane, mount the rails to the decking, re-insulate and flash the rails. Fabricate and install new ductwork from the new RTU to the supply/return wall penetrations. All ductwork to be manufactured and installed per Smacna standards. Ductwork to be insulated with 3" thick PCF density Johns Manville 800 Series spin-glas with FSK jacket weatherproofed with .020 Johns Manville aluminum jacket with stucco finish. R Value= 13.0 Replace the electrical disconnect 208/230 3 phase. Provide and install a Venstar thermostat Model # VST4900. Include all low voltage wiring between the RTU and thermostat to ensure proper economizer operation and alarm functions satisfying 2021IECC. Provide and install a duct smoke detector. All wiring of smoke detector by others. All work must comply with the City of Aurora codes. Provide (1) year labor warranty. Provide additional details of manufacturer warranties (heat exchanger/compressor/parts etc.) with bid proposal.
