Renovation of a military facility in Eglin, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

The project is located on Eglin AFB, Florida. The Contractor shall be required to furnish all materials, equipment, plant, labor and personnel necessary to design, manage, and accomplish this work in accordance with the contract requirements. The Contractor is expected to maintain safety requirements and demonstrate standard construction methods, at all times. (See attached Statement of Work) Site Visit will be held on (Wednesday) 24 July 2024 at 9:00 am CST Eglin AFB Bldg 350 (Meet Outside the bldg) Base pass request due 22 July 2024 at 9:00 am CST Questions are due 26 July 2024 at 10:00 am CST via email (POC listed on soliciation) PURPOSE OF SECTION: The purpose of this section is to provide the Contractor with a Statement of Work for the above mentioned project. The Contractor shall follow the guidelines and Service Summary provided in the PWS of said contract. The Contractor shall seek clarification from the Contracting Officer (CO) if there is any question on the applicability of a provision. These provisions are for the purpose of general information only and are not intended to completely describe the regulations and restrictions that apply on Eglin AFB. 2. PROJECT SCOPE: The project is located on Eglin AFB, Florida. The Contractor shall be required to furnish all materials, equipment, plant, labor and personnel necessary to design, manage, and accomplish this work in accordance with the contract requirements. The Contractor is expected to maintain safety requirements and demonstrate standard construction methods, at all times. A. Provide everything necessary to install carpet squares/tiles along with new cove base as indicated on the Task Order. Scope is limited to room 135 within building 350 on Eglin AFB. B. Contractors shall be responsible for the disposal of the old carpet, vinyl cove base, transition strips and any waste generated by the installation of flooring products. Architectural: a. Remove existing transition strips, as required. b. Install new carpet squares, 24"x24" or approved otherwise. Tier 1 Approved Carpet Vendor (~ 442 SY) c. Install cove base (color will coordinate with carpet tiles) ~ 694 LF d. Install metal transition strips where required. ~ 18 LF e. All work shall be in accordance with the latest NFPA and NEC requirements to ensure maximum protection against loss of life and property by fire. f. Design and installation must meet all UFC 3-600-01 and applicable NFPA Standards. g. All interior finishes, contents and furnishings must meet NFPA 101 Chapter 10. Electrical a. All electrical work must be completed IAW NFPA 70 and by a certified electrician. b. Any fire detection or fire alarm devices that are moved or disconnected for any reason will require reacceptance testing IAW NFPA 72. c. All work must be in compliance with UFC 3-520-01 Interior Electrical Systems, latest edition. d. Ensure compliance with the Eglin AFB specific electrical requirements. . COMMUNICATIONS: (Customer and 96 CS will verify) a. All work shall be IAW 96 CS Eglin AFB Cable Installation Specifications, 2 March 2012 (96 CS), or latest release. Provides the technical criteria and information for the installation of base cable infrastructure. . SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: a. This project must be completed in a timely matter with minimal impact. Notify CO immediately of any impact regarding long lead items, delays or anything that could affect the negotiated schedule and completion date. b. Customer will provide escorts if needed. c. The adjacent areas within this facility will be occupied during construction. d. Ensure adequate ventilation and coordination prior to work generating fumes, dust, debris and vibration, prior to the activity. e. Provide warranty, certificates of compliance plus maintenance/cleaning instructions, as applicable the COR prior to the invoice being paid.
