The City is seeking to obtain architectural and engineering services for the design of the Animal Services Building based on a needs assessment and conceptual plan developed by Shelter Planners for the City of Del Rio. The Animal Services division is currently housed out of the City owned building located at 203 Avenue P. Based on the findings of the needs assessment, the City of Del Rio believes the community would be better served if the division is provided with a bigger building. The new building would be located at 1505 East Gibbs Street, Del Rio, Texas, which currently houses the Neighborhood Services Division. The City of Del Rio is interested in obtaining architectural and engineering services for the design and planning of the new building based on the conceptual design attached to this document as Exhibit B. The City would like to retain a highly qualified, capable firm throughout the planning and completion of the project. The selected firm will need to provide the City of Del Rio with a project manual, project plan, and expected demolition and construction costs.
