The terms of this agreement shall be for 1 year(s) from the date of acceptance of this contract by the LexingtonFayette Urban County Government. This agreement may be automatically extended for an additional 1 year(s) renewal. This contract may be canceled by either party thirty (30) days after delivery by canceling party of written notice of intent to cancel to the other contracting party. The LFUCG request all potential contractors to make a concerted effort to include Minority Owned (MBE), Woman-Owned (WBE), Disadvantaged (DBE) Business Enterprises and Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) as subcontractors or suppliers in their bids. A Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE) is defined as a business which is certified as being at least 51% owned, managed and controlled by persons of African American, Hispanic, Asian, Pacific Islander, American Indian or Alaskan Native Heritage. A Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) is defined as a business which is certified as being at least 51% owned, managed and controlled by one or more women. A Disadvantaged Business (DBE) is defined as a business which is certified as being at least 51% owned, managed and controlled by a person(s) that are economically and socially disadvantaged.
