Solicitation 70Z03024QCLEV0112 USCG Sector Northern Great Lakes Housing Flooring Replacement Project ALL QUESTIONS PERTAINING TO THIS SOLICITATION SHALL BE SUBMITTED, IN WRITING, TO THE CONTRACTING SPECIALIST AT GEORGE.A.BERMEO@USCG.MIL 2563 SEMINOLE DRIVE, SAULT STE MARIE, MI, 49783-1279 (2-BED 2-STORY) 2658 TAHOMA WAY, SAULT STE MARIE, MI 49783-1275 (2-BED 2-STORY) 2543 SEMINOLE DRIVE, SAULT STE MARIE, MI, 49783-1279 (3-BED 2-STORY) Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation, and supervision required for replacing the flooring for the Sector Northern Great Lakes housing units. Refer to the Statement of Work for requirements. Carpet Area 1.1 The contractor is to remove all carpet on stairs and on the First and second floor along with the padding to be replaced and dispose of all materials off the USCG property at the contractor expense to an approved disposal site. 1.2 The contractor will repair or replace any damaged or loose tack strips as needed; inspect and repair the subfloor for any loose staples, screws, nails, etc.; identify and report any water, pet staining or odors, or any other abnormal damages that may cause further damage or odors to the USCG POC before continuing work. 1.3 All flooring will need to be cleaned of all loose debris, swept and/or vacuumed, before installing any new materials. 1.4 Install any needed rubber shims to level the carpet with any other flooring in use and install transitions to areas connecting to different flooring materials. 1.5 Install stain resistant padding and carpet following the manufacturers recommendations. 1.6 Carpet installation on stairs is to be tucked. 1.7 Carpeting Measurements: 1.7.1 2563 Seminole Drive 1124 sq. ft. 124 sq. yd. 1.7.2 2658 Tahoma Way 1422 sq. ft. 158 sq. yd. 1.7.3 2543 Seminole Drive 1515 sq. ft. 168 sq. yd. Material/ Part Information 2.1 All materials will be supplied by the contractor. 2.2 8# 3/8" Spill guard padding is to be used. 2.3 Shaw Franchisee II 26 in the River Rock is to be used. 2.4 All rubber shims used will be Johnsonite LS-40-E (D or E according to thickness required). 2.5 All transitions and other exposed materials planned for use will have to be approved by the POC listed for quality and color. 25LR transition to be used. 2.6 Approximate square footage is listed below per unit per install area; contractor is to measure for accuracy and may do so prior to submitting a bid, padding, and carpeting measurements are to include stairs: The period of performance is to be determined as housing units become available. Refer to the Statement of Work for details. This procurement is estimated to be less than $25,000.00. The applicable NAICS is 238330 (Flooring Contractors) with a Small Business Size Standard of $19.0M. All relevant solicitation documents, including specifications and drawings will be available for download exclusively from the Internet in approximately seven days at this website.
