The Work For Which Proposals Are Invited Includes The Furnishing Of all Labor, Materials And Equipment For The Construction Of All Necessary Water Lines, Sanitary Sewer, Storm Sewer, Curbs, Sidewalks And all Other Paving Required For The New Development. The Engineer's Opinion Of Probable Construction Cost For The Base bid Of The Project Is $1,933,489.50. Each Bid Shall Contain The Full Name And Address Of Each Person or Company Interested In The Same. It Shall Be Accompanied By A proposal Bond In The Amount Of One Hundred Percent (100%) Of The bid, Or By A Certified Check, Cashier's Check Or Irrevocable Letter Of credit For Ten Percent (10%) Of The Bid, Made Payable To The City Of a then's, Ohio, Conditioned That If The Bid Is Accepted, A Contract Will be Entered Into Within Thirty (30) Days After Notice Of Acceptance. A performance Bond Of One Hundred Percent (100%) Of The Amount of The Contract With A Satisfactory Surety Company, Conditioned according To Law, Will Be Required For The Faithful Performance Of the Contract. The "prime" Contractor Must Perform No Less Than Thirty Percent(30%) Of The Total Original Contract Price. The Work Shall Commence Upon Written Notice Of Award By The City Of Athens. The Contractor Must Comply With The Prevailing Wage Rates Onpublic Improvements In Athens County As Ascertained By The Stateof Ohio Department Of Industrial Relations.
