Rocky View County is soliciting proposals for boulevard and dry pond soft landscape and hardscape along Centre Street in Langdon, between Brander/Anderson Avenue and 3rd Avenue. This area was identified for the completion of landscaping due to the commercial and recreational use (Langdon Park) along it borders, bringing users and pedestrians to the area aside from vehicular traffic. The County wishes to provide a more appealing and sustainable landscape scheme along the corridor. The proposed concept plans include perennial (softscape) landscaping and hardscaping with paver stones along the west boulevards, and naturalized treatments for the east side dry ponds including a rip-rap dry creek bed, plantings that are drought resistant, and wildflower seed mixes that will be more resilient to known sodic soils in the area. The work is to include boulevard and dry pond excavation, hardscaping with paver stones, rip-rap placement for dry creek construction, re-loaming, perennial planting, and seeding. All planting work is to be completed prior to September 6, 2024, and seeding and rock work by September 31, 2024. Spring seeding (if awarded) is to be completed by June 1, 2025.
