Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Dupont, Washington. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
This project will include grinding and overlaying the existing asphalt travel lanes and turn lanes between Palisade Blvd. and Powerline Road to a depth of 2-inches. The bike lanes are existing and will not be overlayed as part of this project. The grinding will extend 50- feet beyond the intersections with Palisade Blvd., Civic Drive and Sequalitchew Drive. The grinding operations will remove the traffic signal detection loops and require them to be replaced. ADA push button not within reach range of the curb ramp landings will be relocated to be within the reach range requirements. Sidewalk curb ramps not in compliance with current ADA standards will be removed and replaced to meet current ADA standards. All pavement markings will be reinstalled to the current roadway configurations. County: Pierce Agency: Dupont Length : 0.400 Begin Termini : Palisade Blvd. End Termini : Powerline Rd. As of July 22, 2024, the project is in Final Planning status. Anticipated letting year is 2024. WADOT - Center Drive Overlay Phase 4a *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
