Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Zephyrhills, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Pasco County RCW Interconnect-Simons Rd and Eiland Blvd The City of Zephyrhills is seeking a contractor to install a reclaim water line connecting Pasco County and Simons and Eiland Blvd. A brief summary of work is: Eiland Road Reclaimed Water Main: The Work of this Project includes installing approximately 9,550 linear feet (LF) of 12-inch polyvinyl chloride (PVC) reclaimed water (RCW) force main along Eiland Boulevard from Simons Road to Dairy Road. Horizontal directional drilling of approximately 3,300 LF of 12-inch high-density polyethylene (HDPE) will be used to cross Simons Road, Silver Oaks Drive, Eiland Boulevard, Fair Lawns Drive, Fort King Road, US 301 (Gall Boulevard), and various driveways and sidewalks as shown in the Contract Documents. The remaining 6,200 LF will be installed using open-cut installation methods. Project restoration will include repairing pavement, resodding of affected areas, and replacing the concrete curb/gutter and sidewalk and; Simons Road Reclaimed Water Main: The Work includes approximately 3,460 LF of 12-inch PVC RCW force main along Simons Road from Eiland Boulevard to Bar S Bar Trail. Installation methods include open cut and horizontal directional drilling (HDD) as shown in the Contract Drawings. Approximately 360 LF will be installed by HDD and approximately 3,100 LF will be installed by open cut. Project restoration will include repairing pavement, resodding affected areas, and replacing concrete curb/gutter and sidewalk. Bid Bond: A bid bond shall accompany each bid response. The bid bond shall be for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price and shall be made payable to the City as a guarantee that the Bidder will not withdraw his bid for a period of forty-five (45) days after bid closing time. The Bid Bond is to be included in their eProcurement response (electronically). Payment and Performance Bond and All Insurance Shall be Secured from or Countersigned by an Agency or Surety Company Recognized in Good Standing and Authorized to do Business in the State of Florida. If at any time the Owner for justifiable cause shall be or become dissatisfied with any Surety, then upon the Performance of Payment Bonds, the Contractor shall within five (5) days after notice from the Owner, substitute an acceptable bond (or Bonds) in such form and sum and signed by such other Surety or Sureties as may be satisfactory to the Owner. The premiums on such bond shall be paid by the Contractor. No further payments shall be deemed due and shall not be made until new Surety or Sureties shall have furnished such an acceptable bond to the Owner. Withdrawal of Proposal A bidder may withdraw his Proposal without prejudice to himself, not later than the day and hour set for opening of bids, by clicking on "Unsubmit Proposal" via eProcurement Portal. Requests for additional information or clarifications must be submitted through the eProcurement Portal. Requests for additional information or clarification must be received in writing no later than Friday, August 23, 2024, 10:00 am. Right is reserved to reject any or all Proposals and to disregard technical errors. SCOPE OF WORK A. The Work to be done consists of the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment and the performance of all Work included in this Contract. The summary of the Work is presented in Section 01100, Summary of Work. B. Work Included 1. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, superintendence, materials, plant power, light, heat, fuel, water, tools, appliances, equipment, supplies, and means of construction necessary for proper performance and completion of the Work. The Contractor shall obtain and pay for all necessary local building permits. The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work in the manner best calculated to promote rapid construction consistent with safety of life and property and to the satisfaction of the Engineer and in strict accordance with the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall clean up the Work and maintain it during and after construction, until accepted, and shall do all Work and pay all costs incidental thereto. He shall repair or restore all structures and property that may be damaged or disturbed during performance of the Work. 2. The cost of incidental work described in these Project Requirements for which there are no specific Contract Items shall be considered as part of the general cost of doing the Work and shall be included in the prices for the various Contract Items. No additional payment will be made therefore. 3. The Contractor shall provide and maintain a modern shop, tools, and equipment as may be necessary, in the opinion of the Engineer, to perform in a satisfactory and acceptable manner all the Work required by this Contract. Only equipment of established reputation and proven efficiency shall be used. The Contractor shall be solely responsible for the adequacy of his workmanship, materials, and equipment, prior approval of the Engineer notwithstanding. C. Public utility installations and structures shall be understood to include all poles, tracks, pipes, wires, conduits, vaults, manholes, and all other appurtenances and facilities pertaining thereto whether owned or controlled by the Owner, other governmental bodies, or privately owned by individuals, firms, or corporations used to serve the public with transportation, traffic control, gas, electricity, telephone, sewerage, drainage, water, or other public or private property which may be affected by the Work shall be deemed included hereunder.
