Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Montgomery, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a service station / car wash facility; for site work for a service station / car wash facility; and educational facility.
Upon submission of Part "A.2" of the Proposal, they will be publicly opened and read aloud for the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment, and performing all work required for Maintenance and Transportation for Montgomery ISD, Montgomery, Texas, and in compliance with Project manual and drawings, and other contract documents as prepared by Huckabee. A. Work Included: 1. The "Project" of which the "Work" of this Contract is a part, is titled Maintenance and Transportation for Montgomery ISD and is composed of new fueling station with associated tanks, canopy and demolition of existing fueling tanks. and related site work located in Montgomery, Texas. 2. The "Work" of this Contract is titled Maintenance and Transportation and is defined in the Contract Documents to include, but not necessarily to be limited to: a. New fueling station with associated tanks, canopy and demolition of existing fueling tanks., including all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general construction work. 3. Related Work: a. Documents affecting work of this Section include, but are not necessarily limited to, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, and Sections in Division 01 of these Specifications. b. The work of other contracts is described in various contract documents prepared therefore, some of which are in the possession of the Owner and are available for inspection by interested parties. B. Other Work: 1. Owner (if required by Municipality, State or Federal requirements) shall provide evidence to the municipality permitting the project that an asbestos survey has been completed by a person licensed under the Texas Asbestos Health Protection Act to perform such a survey. 2. The architect has no responsibility for the discovery, presence, handling, removal or disposal of or exposure of persons to hazardous materials or toxic substances in any form at the project site. 3. The architect is not required to execute certifications that would require knowledge, services or responsibilities beyond the scope of the architectural service agreement. 4. The architect assists the owner in the owner's responsibility to obtain applicable permits for demolition and construction. 5. Contractor to review and familiarize themselves with owner's Asbestos survey and plan and shall inform every worker that they use on this project as to the availability of these surveys and plans prior to starting any work. The School District will receive Part "B" of the Proposal and evaluate the submittal according to the selection criteria in order to determine which Proposal offers the best value to the District. The District will, within forty-five (45) days of the opening of Proposals, rank each of the Proposers using the Selection Criteria. Each Proposer will be notified of the rankings. If cost objectives cannot be reached with the top ranked offer, the District will move to the second ranked offer and other offers in turn until the cost objectives are met.
