SCOPE OF WORK/SERVICES: Washoe County School District (WCSD) is soliciting formal proposals from qualified firms to provide Architecture services for capital renewal maintenance, revitalizations, expansions, and new schools for all WCSD sites. WCSD intends to add to the existing pool of Architects from which WCSD can select firms where their specialty aligns with the specific approved project. Architects that are currently in the pool shall not re-submit. All questions/inquiries regarding this solicitation must be submitted in writing and are due no later than 4:30 pm (local time) on August 2, 2024 via email to: solicitations@washoeschools.net or submitted directly on the WCSD's Solicitations website SCOPE OF WORK/SERVICES 42.1 Washoe County School District (WCSD) is soliciting formal proposals from qualified firms to provide Architecture services for capital renewal maintenance, revitalizations, expansions, and new schools for all WCSD sites. Architects that are currently in the pool shall not re-submit. 42.2 The award of a firm on the pre-qualified list (pool) is not a promise or guarantee of work by WCSD. It only deems a firm qualified to work for WCSD. WCSD reserves the right to contract with awarded firms for various projects in the manner that is deemed to be in the best interest of WCSD. 42.3 The scope of work for each project shall be determined during negotiation of the contract but typically will include, but not be limited to, services such as; feasibility studies, conceptual design, master plan development, education specifications, schematic design, design development, construction documents, specifications, bid documents, bidding assistance, cost estimating, scheduling, and construction administration services. Project delivery is typically design/bid/build but, depending on project complexity or other factors, owner may choose a Construction Manager at Risk delivery method. 42.4 WCSD may enter into an agreement with any awarded/qualified firm (Architect of Record) using WCSD's standard agreements or an agreement/contract may be in the form of a WCSD Purchase Order. At the time, an awarded/qualified firm from the "pool" is selected to provide specific project services as they relate to this RFQS, there will be an open period for review and negotiation for any WCSD issued agreement.
