Completed plans call for the demolition of a communication facility; for the renovation of a communication facility; for site work for a communication facility; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

SG1 and Medium-Voltage Vacuum Interrupter WTP Improvements. All questions regarding the Plans and Contract Documents are to be submitted to the Engineer in writing. Bids will be received on a lump sum basis, including any alternatives (if applicable) as described in the Contract Documents. Bid security must accompany each Bid. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract. Contractor and all Subcontractors will be required to conform to the employment requirements set forth in the Contract Documents. Early Work package shall include the preparation of submittals as required to order Medium-Voltage Vacuum Interrupter Switchgear Equipment, Medium-Voltage Variable Frequency Drive Equipment, and Primary Unit Substation Equipment. Furnishing of Medium-voltage Vacuum Interrupter Switchgear to replace Section 1 - 13.8 kV Switchgear. Contractor shall perform demolition as and install new electrical equipment, wiring, conduit, and accessories as shown in Contract Documents. Furnishing of new Medium Voltage Variable Frequency Drives (MVVFD) for High Service Pump (HSP) 6 and HSP 1. Contractor shall perform demolition and install new electrical equipment, wiring, conduit, and accessories as shown in Contract Documents. Furnishing Primary Unit Substation to replace Transformer 3 in Section 2. Contractor shall perform demolition and install new electrical equipment, wiring, conduit, and accessories as shown in Contract Documents. Installation of Fiber Networking Equipment as shown in Contract Documents - Contractor shall install Owner Provided Networking equipment. Contractor shall furnish and install new network cabinets, patch panels, fiber optic cable, conduit, and accessories. Provide construction of temporary pathway construction for movement of electrical gear into upper mechanical room inclusive of support and required demolition and reinstallation of opening. Installation of new Hardware Components on existing Doors and Frames for Card Reader Access into existing Security Access System as shown in Contract Documents. Provided cable and conduit for security equipment addition. Provide ArcFlash Study Update for all electrical components in the Water Treatment Plant System. ArcFlash study shall update 2021 study at the beginning of the project (pre-equipment install) and update at the end of the project. The bid bonds must be payable to the City of Burnsville in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of bid, to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid is accepted and the bidder shall fail to promptly enter into a written contract and furnish the required bond. The City of Burnsville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to award the bid in the best interest of the City. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days. The Council will consider such bids in the Council Chambers at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
