The Pinellas County School District (District) is soliciting sealed electronic bids in response to HVAC Repairs and Services. The purpose and intent of this invitation to bid is to select a minimum of two, and as many as four (4) qualified, licensed and competent mechanical contractors to provide all labor, materials, equipment and supervision to perform general, specialized and emergency repairs for HVAC services, on an as needed basis, county wide. The district shall reserve the right to supply all refrigerant and any parts or equipment in excess of $700.00. This contract shall also establish firm fixed hourly labor rates and firm percentages of cost plus mark-up on materials and supplies. HVAC services and repairs include, but are not limited to: Trouble shooting and repair of small and light commercial HVAC equipment Install and change-out of worn equipment Cleaning coils and comprehensive maintenance Emergency and after hour response as needed Repair and rebuilding of chilled and condenser water pumps Repair and installation of VAV boxes Repair of large industrial central station air handlers up to 200 ton Repair and troubleshoot large commercial condensing units including semi hermetic Take out chiller repair line The State Requirements for Educational Facilities (SREF) are part of the Florida Building Code. SREF requirements shall apply to construction, renovation, and remodeling of public educational facilities owned by Pinellas County School Board. Question Deadline 08/01/2024 at 12:00 PM ET. Additional questions or clarifications regarding this solicitation shall be directed through electronically. Interpretations of the bid, clarification of bid specifications and requirements or changes to the bid which have a material effect will be documented and communicated to bidders only by written addenda. Telegraph, facsimile or e-mail acknowledgements of addenda will not be accepted. Evaluate Bids and Make Selection of Contractor(s):August 13, 2024, to August 27, 2024 Recommendation for Award Submitted to Purchasing by (specify school or department name):August 27, 2024 Notice of Intent to Award Posted on District: September 17, 2024 Submit Recommendation for Award to School Board for Approval (estimated date of School Board approval):September 24, 2024 The Contract Period shall commence on September 28, 2024, and end September 27, 2025. Prices and discounts shall remain firm for this period and shall include ALL freight and handling charges. By mutual consent of the School Board of Pinellas County, Florida, and the successful Bidders, this contract may be renewed for Two Additional one year periods of time. . For the purposes of calculating the amount of a protest bond, this contract is valued at approximately $3,500,000.00 per year, excluding renewal options. This is only an estimate and the actual amount could vary up or down. The District will not be held responsible if actual purchases are less than this amount.
