Reference Number 0000274847 Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/07/30 03:00:00 PM MDT Pricing Lump sum General 1 This As and When Plumber and Mechanical services to install new or repair, modify existing NTPC commercial or domestic heating, plumbing or hydronic systems at NTPCs facilities. It may also include the repair, modifications or replacement of Wastewater & Sewage systems or repair and replacement of water, fuel or oil lines with ABS, Schedule 40 or 80 pipe threaded or welded pipe. All works will be completed within the Hydro Division for a two-year term. These can include works the Corporation's facilities at Jackfish, Snare, Bluefish, WhaTi, Gameti, Behchoko, Lutsel Ke, Taltson, Fort Resolution, Pine Point, Buffalo Junction, Sand Hills, Fort Smith, and Hay River. 2 Rates shall be provided for the following: 1) Regular Hourly rates for Journeyman Plumber, Fitter and/or Boiler/Furnace Mechanic and Helpers. To include an hourly fixed rate for the first 8 hours worked per day, for any works including travel time and waiting time. Rates shall be inclusive of normal safety Equipment, hand tools and testing equipment that may be necessary to perform these works. 2) Overtime Hourly rates for Journeyman Plumber, Fitter and/or Boiler/Furnace Mechanic and Helpers. To include an hourly fixed rate for hours more than 8 per day, for any work including travel time. 3) The Contractor shall provide all materials required to complete the works at a cost-plus rate as outlined in this submission. All purchased and delivered materials surplus to the works shall be left at site in a location identified and approved by the Project Monitor. Rental equipment if required shall be provided at a cost-plus rate as outlined in this submission. 5) Travel costs for all communities outside of Yellowknife shall be at a cost-plus basis as outlined in this submission. 3 NTPC is responsible for scheduling repairs, emergency works and inspections. If the Contractor recognized the need for additional works that are outside of the original scope, this additional work must be reported to the project manager. On review the project manager may ask the Contractor to provide an estimate for the repairs and if acceptable will ask the contractor to complete these works. 4 NTPC shall be granted access to the contractor's work site for the purpose of inspecting works either in progress or completed. 5 The Contractor shall recommend replacement of equipment that is in the Contractors reasonable estimation uneconomical to or impracticable to repair. .6 The Contractor shall complete the NTPC site orientation, On-Line orientation & Test, Camp orientation and Plant orientation at each facility where works are to be completed before beginning work. 7 The Contractor shall participate in Daily tailboard meetings and provide copies to the project monitor via fax or e-mail. .8 The Contractor shall mobilize crew, tools and materials to site (as specified by the Project Monitor) on agreed upon start dates for each of the sites. 9 Demobilize Crew from sites back to Yellowknife, NT, when the works are completed. .10 When Operating Vehicles including trucks, vans, ATVs at remote sites, the Contractor's workers will abide by all rules and restrictions that may be imposed by the NTPC representative on site. Operators of this equipment shall have valid licenses and documented experience prior to operation. .11 The Contractor shall ensure that all materials and accessories are in good uniform condition and suitable for the intended application. 12 Equipment removed from site for rebuild or repair shall be transported by the Contractor with prior authorization of NTPC. .13 The Contractor must work safely, adhere to all aspects of NTPC health, safety & environmental programs and comply with all rules and regulations. 14 Ensure the safety of other employees, contractors and the general public by: Report any failure to adhere to safety practices or rules. Provide detailed orientations and identification of hazards to all visitors.. Remove hazards and make safe the work site when leaving the work area. .15 Participate in the continuous improvement of health & Safety program, Environmental Program as well as NTPC safety culture. Comprehensive General Liability Insurance in Amounts of Not Less Than $2,000,000.00 Per Occurrence Covering, but Not Limited to Bodily Injury, Including Death, Broad Form Property Damage, Broad Form Contractual Liability, Products Liability and Completed Operations Coverage, Which Insurance Shall Pay on Behalf of the Contractor Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
