Site work for a road / highway in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway.

Due to the continued development of neighborhoods near the crossing, a grade separation is required to accommodate increasing vehicle and pedestrian traffic. A completed functional plan indicates the need for three lanes of vehicle traffic and a multiuse pathway for both eastbound and westbound travel. TIMELINE: Project is preliminary. The engineering consultant was engaged to provide a business case comparing an overpass versus an underpass at the 8th Street and Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) grade separation. Further planning and investigations are expected to proceed in 2028, pending capital funding. An update may be available in 2026. *Construction cost to be confirmed.
