Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Jamestown, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.
REPAIRS OF HISTORICAL BUILDINGS INCLUDING REPAIR OF WINDOW OPENINGS AND INSTALLATION OF NEW WINDOWS. A. The work required by these specifications shall include furnishing all labor, skill, supervision, tools, construction plant, equipment and materials, and performing all operations to properly complete contract work as shown on the Drawings, as mentioned in these specifications, and as evidently required, to the complete satisfaction of the Owner and the Engineer. B. The Contractor is responsible for updating and/or filing any Local, State, and/or Federal permits to complete construction. C. The following summary of work is intended to be general in nature and shall not be considered direction by the Engineer or the Owner. Although it is likely that some of the work items will overlap, construction sequences, phases, and order for the various project components are described separately and may not necessarily proceed in the order presented. The work on the Fort Wetherill Façade and Miscellaneous Repairs project, includes but is not limited to: 1. Mobilize to the project site; establish site access and staging areas. 2. Remove and replace existing windows for Buildings A, B, and C. 3. Patch and repair cracks and spalls in façade at Buildings A and B. a. Install crack injection repair where required. b. Remove existing concrete around existing cracks and spalls until sound layer is found. Remove unsound concrete. c. Repair concrete spalls as indicated. d. Remove and reset louvers and reconstruct CMU infills as needed for the work. 4. Remove and replace existing damaged headers and sills on Buildings A and B. a. Remove header/sill where required to sound concrete. b. Repair headers and sills as indicated. 5. Door hinge repair. a. Sand blast existing hinge surface to base material. b. Install new epoxy coat paint system. 6. Building B existing mezzanine repair. a. Shore existing mezzanine inside Building B. b. Empty, remove, and dispose the existing tank. Empty, remove, and dispose associated piping as required for the repair work. Remaining piping to be capped and reconfigured as directed by the Owner. c. Remove existing damaged steel members. d. Abrasively clean all existing steel framing, components, and connectors to bare metal by grit blasting. e. Install new steel members to replace damaged existing steel members. f. Coat all existing steel with a new epoxy paint system. g. Remove shoring of existing mezzanine. 7. Building C repair. a. Repair existing exterior surfaces. 8. Building A, B, and C exterior coating repair. a. Prepare existing exterior surfaces and apply new elastomeric coating system
