A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Borough of Pitman ("Borough") is seeking a Redeveloper for the former Sony Property Redevelopment ("Project"). The area to be redeveloped is a prominent former manufacturing facility located in the Borough of Pitman at 400 N. Woodbury Glassboro Road (CR 553) at the corner of Woodbury Glassboro Road and Lambs Road. The 76.61-acre parcel is designated as Block 138, Lot 1 on the Official Tax Map of the Borough. It consists of a A+-500,000 square-foot former office and manufacturing facility that was owned by CBS, and later Sony, before its 2013 sale to N. Woodbury Rd LLC in 2013, along with the land immediately surrounding the building. Roughly half of the parcel has been developed with buildings, parking, loading, and landscaping, while the other half is wooded and contains wetlands and several former wastewater lagoons. The developed portion of the property primarily consists of the principal industrial facility, multiple parking and loading areas, and a helipad ("Project Site"). The Borough has designated the Project Site as a Condemnation Redevelopment Area and has adopted a Redevelopment Plan for the Project Site which calls for Mixed Use development, including residential, commercial and industrial uses. A conceptual layout of the location of anticipated uses is contained in the Redevelopment Plan. Utilities available to the property include public water and sewer, electric service via Atlantic City Electric, and gas service via the South Jersey Gas Company. The Borough would like to secure a Redeveloper to implement development, design, financing, construction and operation of a Mixed-Use Development at the Project Site. The selected Redeveloper must have a proven track record of successful development projects of this scale. The Borough hereby invites development firms to submit a concept proposal for Mixed Use Development at the Project Site.
