Jarbo Bayou Force Main Replacement Project. Scope The Work is generally described as the abandonment and replacement of an existing force main with a new 8-inch SDR-9 HDPE poly pipe force main underneath channel and connected to 6-inch DR-21 C900 PVC pipe which will tie into the existing sewer force main near the lift station on the south and near the air relief valve on the north; along with all related subsidiary and incidental components as shown in the Project Plan Set and contract documents, and all necessary work of every kind or nature, including all extra work in connection therewith necessary to complete said improvements, under the terms as stated in the Contract Documents. Estimate: $225,108.00 Bid Security, in the form of Cashier's Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond, payable to the City of League City in the amount of 5% of the total base bid price, must accompany each Bid proposal. See General Instructions to Bidders for Bond submittal information and instructions. The City of League City reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Bidders desiring additional information or clarification of technical specifications, plans or other documents must make written requests for such information to the Engineer as the Owner's representative by the cut-off date, and time, as indicated in the Notice to Bidders (August 8, 2024). Answers to all such requests will be given in writing, in addendum form, to all bidders, and all addenda will be bound with and become a part of the contract documents. No written or oral explanation or interpretation except that which is provided by the addenda prepared by the Engineer will be considered official or binding. If the bidder should find discrepancies in or omissions from the technical specifications or plans, or should some doubt exist as to their meaning, the bidder shall notify the Engineer in writing so that a written addendum may be sent to all bidders. It is the responsibility of the bidders to know if they have received all such addenda. A complete file on all addenda issued will be maintained at the Engineer's office. In the event a bidder shall fail to seek clarification or interpretation of any part or portions of the technical specifications, plans or other documents, such bidder shall be presumed to have full knowledge of the interpretation by the Engineer. It is the intent of the Owner that all parties interested in submitting a bid on the project covered by the contract documents be given a reasonable opportunity to examine the documents and prepare a bid. The contract documents may be examined without charge as noted in the Notice to Bidders. Any party wishing to purchase a hard copy of the contract documents, including all plans and specifications, may do so with a request and payment of printing cost. Project consists of the replacement and removal of an existing 6" force main crossing Jarbo Bayou with a new force main which consists on both 6" SDR-21 PVC and 8" SDR-9 HDPE poly pipe.
