Contractor to provide a complete design/build package for the installation of a new fire suppression system for Morley Parking Garage, including limited work inside the vacant Health Center Building. Work includes new fire alarm panel, initiating devices, and notification devices to serve the parking deck and limited smoke detection and notification to serve the vacant Morley Health Building. The Director of Public Service reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive informalities. Except as provided in Section 102.07 of the City of Akron, Construction and Materials Specifications, 2008 Edition, each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check in the sum of 10% of bids on a solvent bank, or a bid bond in like amount, acceptable to the City of Akron, as a guarantee, that if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into. Except as provided in Section 103.05 of the City of Akron, Construction and Materials Specifications, 2008 Edition, the Proposer to whom the Agreement is awarded will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond in the sum of 100% of the Contract Price for the faithful performance of the contract. The performance and payment bond shall remain in full effect until Final Completion of the Project.
