Renovation of a parking garage in Akron, Ohio. Design plans call for the renovation of a 80,000-square-foot parking garage.
The City of Akron, Ohio is seeking a qualified Engineering Consultant to provide Fire Protection Engineering services for the replacement of the existing sprinkler system at the Morley Parking Garage located at 177 South Broadway, Akron, Ohio. The three level parking garage is approximately 80,000 square feet per level. The sprinkler system is outdated, does not meet current building codes, incorporates obsolete pipe sizes throughout making maintenance difficult, and needs to be replaced. As of August 4, 2025, per owner, design team identified. Project has not yet been bid. Construction anticipated to begin May 2026.
