The work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of preparing preliminary engineering designs for new sidewalks and ADA ramps along the east side of NE HWY 99 between NE 110th and NE 117th streets. The new sidewalk will connect into the existing sidewalk currently in place to the South of NE 110th Street and at the intersection of Hwy 99 and NE 117th Street. Hwy 99 crosses an unnamed tributary to Tenny Creek south of NE Parkview Drive. The condition of the culvert is unknown, and the culvert width limits the potential road width at this point. There is a concrete barrier installed for driver safety at the edge of the roadway shoulder. Crossing options will need to be considered for construction of a new sidewalk in this area that may include but not limited to a mechanically stabilized earth retaining wall or pedestrian bridge. The major features of the project are as follows: Development of plans, specifications and estimates for the project, project initiation, coordination and meetings, submittals, surveying to establish right of way and topographic elements of the project limits, preparation of right of way plans, engineering-geotechnical, geometrics, stormwater and traffic design, environmental documentation and permitting. The deadline for submitting such questions/clarifications is September 4, 2024 by 1:30 pm.
An addendum will be issued no later than September 5, 2024 to all recorded holders of the RFP if a substantive clarification is in order. This federally funded project must meet federal EEO requirements and has an assigned DBE agreement goal of 16%. A contract awarded as a result of this RFP will be for three (3) and is intended to begin on December 1, 2024 and end November 30, 2027. Clark County reserves the right to retain the services of the successful firm(s) for any subsequent phases (RW, CN) associated with the project.
