Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Adams, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work under this Contract consists of a roadway and sidewalk improvements on Albert Street, Cook Street and Pleasant Street in the Town of Adams. The work consists of pavement reconstruction, pavement milling and overlay, new granite curb, cement concrete sidewalk, cement concrete driveway aprons, pedestrian curb ramps, signage and line painting. The limits of work are as follows: Albert Street from the intersection of Cook Street to approximately 500-feet north. Cook Street from the east side of the railroad crossing to approximately 200-feet east to the bridge over the Hoosic River. The section excludes work at the active railroad crossing that is approximately 15 feet in width. Cook Street from Crotteau Street approximately 140-feet west to the bridge over the Hoosic River. There is no work to be conducted on the Hoosic River bridge or the active railroad crossing. Pleasant Street from the bridge over the Hoosic River approximately 550-feet north to the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail. There is no work to be conducted on the Hoosic River bridge. MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as, Highway Sidewalk & Curbing OR Pavement Surfacing, for the project with an estimated value of $785,759.85 will be required. A bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid must accompany the bid. The Town of Adams reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any or all bids if deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
