The "2024 Roadway Improvement Program Contract II" consists of resurfacing of the following roadways, in the City of Camden, Camden County, New Jersey: No. Road Limits 1 Jefferson Street Broadway to S. 6th Street 2 S. 32nd Street Fremont Avenue to Highland Avenue 3 N. 34th Street Westfield Avenue to Saunders Street 4 State Street Point Street to N Front Street 5 Point Street State Street to York Street 6 Hayes Avenue Reeves Street to Beideman Avenue. The work for this project includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following major work items: 1. Milling, 3" or less, of the existing asphalt surface, where indicated. 2. Overlay of milled bituminous asphalt surface with hot mix asphalt 12.5 M 64 surface course, 2" thick, as directed. 3. Hot mix asphalt pavement repair, if and where directed. 4. Removal and replacement of 7"x8"x18" concrete vertical curb, as directed. 5. Installation of new inlets, type "A", with inlet traps, where indicated. 6. Installation of curb pieces, and bicycle safe grates, as directed. 7. Resetting of manholes/ inlets using existing or new casting, and resetting of vents/valve boxes using existing or new casting, as directed. 8. Removal and replacement of concrete driveway, reinforced 6" thick, and concrete sidewalk, 5" thick as directed. 9. Installation of ADA compliant curb ramps, as directed 10. Installation of pavement markings, as directed. Each bid must be accompanied by Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond to the order of the City of Camden, in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the sum of the bid but not in excess of $20,000.00 together with a non-collusion affidavit. Bid Bonds may be submitted electronically via a digital bond within the solicitation or uploaded in the document section of the solicitation. Paper bid bonds, certified checks or cashier's checks payable to the City of Camden may be mailed or dropped off in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and contract description on the outside to: Purchasing Agent C/O City Clerk, City of Camden City Hall, Room 105, Sixth and Market Streets, Camden, New Jersey. Regardless of the method of submission, bid bond must be received by Purchasing prior to the bid opening.
