Site work and paving for a road / highway in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The project consists of the following pavement work: Milling and overlaying approximately 900 square yards of deteriorated asphalt pavement sections on Portland Road, Windwood Drive, Wilson Street, and Fox Pointe Avenue. The areas to be milled shall be replaced with 2.5" thick 4 LT 58-28S hot mix asphalt placed in one lift. Contractors shall provide all warning signs and traffic control for the construction. ids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or cashier's check in an amount equal to 5% of the total bid. The contractor selected by the City must furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, in the amount of 100% of the bid, to guarantee satisfactory completion of the work. Prevailing wage rates will NOT be in effect. Contractors shall carry Workers Compensation Insurance per Statutory Limits, Contractors General Liability Insurance and Automobile Insurance, each with a minimum bodily injury and property damage coverage of $1,000,000. The bidder, to whom a contract is awarded, shall submit the appropriate insurance certificates to the City of Cedarburg. The City of Cedarburg reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the City. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after the opening of the bids without written consent from the City. The existing asphalt pavement shall be milled to a depth of 2.5 inches. After milling the underlying pavement surface shall be swept to remove any loose debris. A tack coat shall be applied to the underlying pavement at a minimum rate of 0.08 gallons per square yard. Hot mix asphalt pavement shall be type 4 LT 58-28S. The 2.5-inch-thick hot mix asphalt shall be placed in one lift. Milling and hot mix asphalt pavement shall be paid per square yard at the unit price bid for 2.5" Mill & Overlay. The unit price for 2.5" Mill & Overlay shall include all costs associated with milling of asphalt, sweeping underlying asphalt, tack, furnishing, hauling, mixing, placing, and compacting the hot mix asphalt. The entire mill and relay operation shall take place in a maximum two-day window. Residents within the construction zone must be allowed access to their driveways during work.
