Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Salmon Creek, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
All Bid Proposals Shall Be Accompanied by a Bid Proposal Deposit in Cash, Certified Check, Cashiers Check, or Surety Bond in an Amount Equal to Five Percent (5%) of the Amount of Such Bid Proposal. Should the Successful Bidder Fail to Enter Into Such Contract and Furnish Satisfactory Performance Bond Within the Time Stated in the Specifications, the Bid Proposal Deposit Shall Be Forfeited to the City of La Center. The Improvement for Which Bids Will Be Received is Described Below: Project Name: Pedestrian and Bicycle Path on Pacific Highway Project Description: This Project Provides for a 10-feet Wide Shared Use Path Between Larsen Drive and the Existing Sidewalk Approximately 1,900 Lineal Feet. New Retaining Walls Will Be Built Along Some of the Cut Slopes. A Regraded Roadside Ditch Will Be Regraded to Collect Stormwater From the New Path and Existing Road. A Catch Basin and Treatment System Will Be Used to Collect Stormwater in the Ditch and Outfall Down the Slope to the Creek. Existing Guardrail Will Be Removed to Construct the Path With Vertical Walls Above the Creek Crossing at the Grade of the Existing Road. New Streetlights Will Be Added Along the South Side of Pacific Highway to Light the New Path and Existing Road. Attached Contract Plans, Contract Provisions, and the Wsdot Standard Specifications. This Project is Financed Through Local Funds, the Transportation Improvement Board (Tib), and Federal Transportation Alternative and Carbon Reduction Funding. There is Also Funding as Part of the Climate Commitment Act. The Federal Grant Will Need to Comply With Wages Through Davis Bacon and Will Be Subject to Regulations of the U.s. Department of Labor. The Higher Wage Rate Between the Federal and State Rates, at a Minimum, Shall Prevail Per Wac 296-127-025. Work Shall Be Completed Within 80 Working Days After Receipt of Notice to Proceed. The City Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids Submitted, or to Accept the Bid Deemed to Be in the Best Interest of the City of La Center, and to Waive Any Informalities or Irregularities in Any Bid.
