Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Waxahachie, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The project consists of the replacement of water and sanitary sewer mains and pavement replacement at the following locations: Jim St - E. Jefferson St to Alley: Install approximately 507 linear feet of new 8-inch PVC water main. Jackson St - E. Parks Ave to E. Marvin Ave: Replace approximately 651 linear feet of existing 10-inch water main with new 12-inch PVC water main. Sycamore St - Grand Ave to Cynisca St: Replace approximately 2,508 linear feet of existing 4-inch water main with new 8-inch PVC water main. Chieftain Dr - Alley to Sagebrush Ln: Replace approximately 1,379 linear feet of existing 6-inch water main with new 8-inch PVC water main, and replace approximately 4,500 square yards of concrete roadway with integral curb and approximately 1,500 square yards of concrete sidewalk. Pasley St/Givens St - Alley to W. Avenue C: Replace approximately 722 linear feet of existing 1-1/2-inch, 2-inch, and 4-inch water main with new 8-inch PVC water main. Coleman St - Lancaster St to Lake Park Ave: Replace approximately 761 linear feet of existing 2-inch water main with a new 8-inch PVC water main. Grace St - McMillian St to W. Parks Ave: Replace approximately 790 linear feet of existing 2-inch water main with new 8-inch PVC water main. Parks Ave - N. Gibson St to Ferris Ave (Hwy 77): Replace approximately 1,050 linear feet of existing 1-1/2-inch and 2-inch water main with new 8- inch PVC water main. Patrick St - Water St to Todd St: Replace approximately 1,077 linear feet of existing 6-inch water main with new 8-inch PVC water main. Grace St - McMillian St to W. Parks Ave: Replace approximately 644 linear feet of existing 6-inch sanitary sewer with new 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer main.Parks Ave - N. Gibson St to Ferris Ave (Hwy 77): Replace approximately 881 linear feet of existing 6-inch sanitary sewer with new 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer main. McMillan - Ferris Ave (Hwy 77) to Grace St: Replace approximately 523 linear feet of existing 6-inch sanitary sewer with a new 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer main. Bryson St - W. Parks Ave to 310 feet north: Replace approximately 310 linear feet of existing 6-inch sanitary sewer with a new 6-inch PVC sanitary sewer main. Wyatt Street: Replace approximately 266 linear feet of existing 10-inch sanitary sewer with a new 10-inch PVC sanitary sewer main. The project also includes all associated water and sanitary sewer appurtenances, sidewalks, curb, driveway and pavement repairs throughout the limits of construction. BONDS - AMOUNTS AND TERMS The amount of the Bid Surety or Bid Bond for this project shall not be less than five percent (5%) of the largest possible total for the bid submitted, and shall accompany each bid. The Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bond shall be submitted upon award of the contract, prior to contract execution. The amount of the Performance and Payment Bonds shall each be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total awarded contract price, price, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the contract and upon payment of all persons supplying labor or furnishing materials, will be requested. The amount of the Maintenance Bond shall each be in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total awarded contract price. The Maintenance Bond shall remain in force for a period of two (2) years after the date of final acceptance of the work by the Owner. TIME AND ORDER OF COMPLETION All items of work include under this contract shall be completed within 365 calendar days which time shall commence on the tenth (10th) day after the issuance of the notice to proceed. SCOPE OF WORK This project provides for: Water and Sanitary Sewer Replacement at the locations shown on the plans 1) Furnishing and installing new water and sanitary sewer pipe, including new water and sanitary sewer services, stubs, and appurtenances. The pipe shall be of the size, type grades and elevations as shown on the plans and to be constructed in accordance with the contract's specifications. 2) Providing all traffic control and barricade devices in conformance with the Texas Department of Transportation's Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices. 3) Contractor shall prepare Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and provide Construction Site Notice (CSN) per TCEQ requirements. Area disturbed is greater than one acre and less than five acres. Erosion control shall be in accordance with erosion control plan including silt fence and inlet protection installation, maintenance & removal. Silt fence and inlet protection shall meet city standards. All work shall be completed as shown on the plans and called for in these specifications, referenced specifications, and the City of Waxahachie standard construction details.
