The scope of work consists of providing Street and Alley construction, maintenance, repair and immediate repair services at an as-needed basis. The selected contractor will be awarded the contract with a "not to exceed amount" and established prices for labor, equipment, and materials. The work to be performed under this contract consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment and incidentals required to perform street and alley repair and or improvements. Services may include but are not limited to asphalt patching, repair and or reconstruction, concrete work, utility adjustments, survey preservation, installation of traffic loops and pavement markings. Services is on a time and material (T&M) basis and will require a written quote in advance. All traffic control, equipment and materials will be provided by the contractor. Please refer to the RFP documents for detailed scope of services. A contract shall be awarded, if at all, to the best qualified vendor. Determination of the best qualified vendor will be made solely by the City on criteria determined by the City. The decision of the City shall be final. In its discretion, the City may reject any proposal, abandon the purchase, or re-advertise. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to waive any informality or irregularity in any proposal received by the City. Certain labor categories under this project may be subject to prevailing wages as identified in the State of California Labor Code commencing at sections 1720 et seq. and 1770 et seq.
