Dutch Ridge Water Line Replacement CONTRACT #1 - Dutch Ridge Water Line Replacement: Unit price contract to construct approximately 980 LF of 8", 16,120 LF of 6", 60 LF of 4", and 150 LF of 2" water line, 29 gate valve and boxes, 9 fire hydrants, 277' highway boring, 1,850' of horizontal directional drills, 94 service reconnect, 20 cut and cap existing main, and 15 tie in to existing mains; and other work required to provide a complete operating water system. CONTRACT #2 - Radio Read Meters: Unit price contract to provide 1,000 Radio Read Meters Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Contract #1: Dutch Rudge Water Line Extension- $1,128,611 Contract #2: Radio Read Meters-$286,500 Each Bidder must fully comply with the requirements, terms, and conditions as set forth in the contract documents to achieve Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation during the performance of this contract. The bidder commits itself to the program for DBE participation and all other requirements, terms, and conditions of the bid conditions by submitting a properly signed bid The bidder agrees to make "good faith efforts" to sub-contract a portion of the total value of the contract to Disadvantaged businesses. This shall be done in compliance with the six (6) good faith efforts as outlined in 40 CFR 31.36(e). Failure to demonstrate good faith efforts may lead to rejection of bids. For the purpose of this program, the term "subcontractor" includes all construction, modification, and service work contracted for by the bidder in the execution of the work under this contract.
