For Disaster Debris Removal and Disposal Services the City of Robertsdale Requests Proposal/bid to Provide Disaster Debris Removal and Disposal Services Following a Qualifying Event Within the City Limits of Robertsdale, Alabama. Whereas, the City of Robertsdale Lies on the South East Coast of the State of Alabama and, as Such, May Experience Massive Destruction Wrought by the Impact of a Hurricane Landfall, Violent Storms Spawning Tornadoes as Well as Other Natural and/or Manmade Disasters (Events), and Whereas, It is Foreseen That It May Be Necessary to Provide for Debris Removal and Disaster Recovery Technical Assistance Within the City, Resulting From These Events; and Whereas, the City Has Determined After Extensive Efforts That This is an Area of Specialized Services; Now, Therefore, the City is Requesting Proposals From Contractors to Provide Services Necessary to Ensure Prompt Removal and Disposal of Debris Resulting From a Disaster Event as Follows: It is the Intent of This Contract That the Successful Bidder(S)(Herein After Contractor), Shall Provide All Labor, Services, Equipment, Materials, and Supplies Necessary to Collect All Brush, Tree Parts, Mixed Debris, and C&d Debris From City of Robertsdale Rights-of-way and/or Public Property Following a Qualifying Event. All Vegetative Debris Will Be Hauled to a Debris Volume Reduction Site as Designated by the Project Officer. All Mixed Debris and C&d Debris Will Be Hauled to Either a Temporary Debris Staging Site(S) or Permitted Landfill as Determined by the Project Officer. Disaster Debris Removal Operations to: Remove Vegetative Debris From the City of Robertsdale Improved, in-use Public Property and Haul to a Temporary Debris Volume Reduction Site as Determined by the Project Officer. Remove Mixed Debris (Appliances, Household Items) and Construction and Demolition (C&d) Debris From City of Robertsdale Rights-of-way and/or Public Property to a Temporary Debris Staging Site or to a Permitted Landfill Site as Determined by the Project Officer. Disaster Debris Disposal Operations to: Chip Vegetative Debris (Limbs and Branches) in Locations Inaccessible to Normal Debris Removal Equipment and Haul the Resulting Chips to the Designated Temporary or Permanent Site as Determined by the Project Officer. Operate Vegetative Debris Volume Reduction Site(S) at a Location(S) to Be Selected by the Project Officer. Volume Reduction May Be by Chipping and Grinding or Air Curtain Incineration. Bid Bond in the Amount of 5% of the Bid Amount. City of Robertsdale, Alabama Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Proposals, and to Waive Informalities in the Bidding. Bids Will Be Evaluated Bases on Bid Price, Bidder's Past Experience, and Bidder's Financial Stability.
