All General Contractors planning to bid shall submit to the Architect a completed copy of their Contractor's Qualification Statement (AIA Form A305), Certificate of Insurance with contractor's current limits, proposed construction superintendent's resume, and list of completed projects of similar scope within the past 5 years including project cost, description of work, timeline, and Owner and Architect references. Generally, the work includes renovation of the existing Hancock Sheriff's county storage building into a new Hancock County EMS facility. Construction for the project is scheduled to commence promptly upon Owner's approval and be substantially complete by April 25, 2025, with final completion by May 15, 2025. The Owner, Hancock County Public Building Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to waive any irregularity in bidding, which in their considered opinion is warranted. No bid shall be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after opening of bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, made payable to the Owner, Hancock County Public Building Commission. Bids not accompanied by a bid bond will be rejected. The successful Bidder will be required to provide a Surety Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the Contract cost on prescribed forms within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance is issued by Owner. Surety on bond shall be by a duly authorized U. S. Treasury Backed company licensed to do business in the State of Illinois, acceptable to Owner.
