CITY OF ASHTABULA FERRY DRIVE RECONSTRUCTION The base bid will consist of reconstruction of 0.13 miles of Ferry Drive from Front Street/E. 6th Street to end of Ferry Drive by full depth pavement replacement, including curb, drainage improvements, pavement markings and traffic signs. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed within sixty (60) days of the Notice to Proceed date. Bidders must comply with Davis Bacon Wage Requirements on Public Improvements in Ashtabula County and the City of Ashtabula, Ohio. No bidder shall be considered a responsive and responsible bidder or eligible to be awarded the contract to which this Notice applies, if the bidder is listed on the Auditor of States database as having a Finding of Recovery as that term is defined in O.R.C. 9.24. Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided and shall state the Unit Price or Lump Sum as indicated by the blanks provided therefore; and shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked on the outside FERRY DRIVE RECONSTRUCTION with the contractors name, address, phone number, email address and contact name. The City of Ashtabula reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formalities or irregularities in bidding. Bid totals will be recorded on a bid tabulation sheet. The bid tabulation sheet will be signed by a minimum of two representatives of the City of Ashtabula. Once the bid is awarded, the bid tabulation sheet and any other documents pertaining to the project will then be considered public record per ORC 9.28.
