Date Email Questions Due July 17, 2024 1:00 pm Date Email Answers Issued July 23, 2024 Anticipated Construction Services - Start - Finish Jan. 13 - May 30, 2025 The Colorado Mental Health Hospital in Pueblo (CMHHIP) is a 516-bed acute care psychiatric hospital that provides inpatient behavioral health services for adults, adolescents and geriatric patients. CMHHIP is a forensic hospital that serves individuals with pending criminal charges who require evaluations of competency, individuals who have been found to be incompetent to proceed (restoration treatment) and individuals found to be not guilty by reason of insanity by Colorado's criminal courts. Patients' families, friends and loved ones are encouraged to visit and maintain relationships with patients while hospitalized. Building 055 on the Colorado Mental Health Hospital in Pueblo (CMHHIP) campus is used by the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) Division of Procurement for food storage used in the daily meal production by the CMHHIP Nutritional Services. The meal production completed at Building 117 produces in excess of 1.5 million meals per year for both CMHHIP patients and DOC offenders on the CMHHIP Campus. The large cooler and freezer allows CMHHIP to buy in bulk for cost savings and have the required food reserve in the event of a food chain interruption. The cooler and freezer are critical pieces of equipment. Building 055 was built in 1965. The large coolers and freezers were installed in 2000 with large doors to accommodate forklift equipment. This project proposes to replace the entire cooler and freezer assembly. The new assembly will meet current industry standards, current applicable codes for building, operation and will provide higher energy efficiencies per national requirements at time of install.
