engineering firm to perform engineering design, plan development and right-of-way plan development for the improvement of the Breese Road / Shawnee Road and Breese Road / Dixie Highway intersections located west of I-75 in Shawnee Township. Proposed Facility: Full signal upgrade of the intersection of C.R. 142 (Breese Road) and C.R. 152 (Shawnee Road) and the intersection of C.R. 142 (Breese Road) and C.R. 270S (Dixie Highway) to mast arm signals; countdown pedestrian signal heads with push buttons; sidewalk landings & ADA curb ramps; high visibility crosswalk markings; radius improvements; and drainage improvements. Also included is the addition of a westbound right turn lane at Breese Road onto Shawnee Road and the replacement of the southbound approach asphalt pavement on Dixie Highway with concrete pavement to prevent pavement damage from heavy truck traffic. The northern 7000' of Dixie Highway will be grind and pave only. Project Length at Breese / Shawnee Intersection: 1600' along Breese Road / 1040' along Shawnee Road Project Length at Breese / Dixie Intersection: 1425' along Breese Road / 8820' along Dixie Highway Construction Cost: $2,610,100 (CMAQ and STBG Funding for FY 2027)
