The work is located at the Naval Support Activity South Potomac Facility Indian Head, Maryland, The work includes provide new building to allow Material Potentially Presenting an Explosive Hazard (MPPEH)storage building to become explosive decontamination facility. Abate existing asbestos and lead based paint containing materials, including but not limited to the following: corrugated wall and roof panels, window mastic and lead base paint on windows and building structural steel frame. Demolish existing building in its entirety to include existing foundation and concrete floor slab. Remove contaminated soil beneath existing building slab and remediate and replace as needed. Erect new manufactured pre-engineered metal building, clad walls and roof with Insulated Metal Panels. Construct interior spaces and enclosed bays to meet mission needs; gravel wash bay needs to create condition to ensure the asbestos hazardous material from the gravel wash down process is contained. Regrade existing site as required to provide proper and adequate drainage around the building and paving to avoid site ponding. Provide access road to back of building.
