Renovation of a transportation facility in Warwick, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 179,671-square-foot, three-story above grade transportation facility.

Project scope will include (but not limited to): • Selective demolition of existing flooring materials in ticketing, concourse, baggage claim and other areas, demolition of select walls, column wraps and doors, as well as removal and reinstallation of items, such as, but not limited to: railings, guard rails, millwork and fixtures, furnishings, and equipment. • New concrete topping slab at select areas to modify existing sloped walk ways • New hard flooring (poured terrazzo, terrazzo tile, tile) flooring throughout ticketing, concourse, baggage claim, and other areas, done in phases, as well as tile carpeting and walk off mats in security and other noted areas. • Installation of temporary walls, doors, ramps, and stairs to maintain all egress routes and access, as well as separating work areas from public spaces. Questions deadline: August 14, 2024 @ 1:00PM EDT Each sealed bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or satisfactory Bid Bond, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, payable to the Rhode Island Airport Corporation. The successful bidder will be required to execute and furnish a Performance Bond, and Labor and Materials Payment Bond as security for faithful performance and payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the work. Each security shall be in an amount of not less than 100% of the contract price and shall be in a form acceptable to the Owner DBE participation goal is 3.2% . All questions or requests for clarification regarding the bid documents or the project are to be submitted by email to the Office of Procurement via email at procurement@pvdairport.com. The deadline for submission of questions is by 1:00 PM on August 14, 2024. Answers to significant questions received by this deadline or clarifications will be provided to all prospective bidders through addenda posted on the procurement page of the RIAC website by end of day on August 21, 2024. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid or bid guaranty, to reject any or all bids, to re-advertise, award or refrain from awarding a contract for the work, and to negotiate with the apparent qualified low responsive bidder(s) to such extent as may be beneficial to the Owner. The Owner may reject a bid if the Bidder is disqualified.
