The City of Glenn Heights, Texas intends to purchase and invites you to submit a sealed bid for: Lin Dell Estates Water Distibution Upsizing Project The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities, defects, or minor irregularities when deemed to be in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids/proposals which are incomplete, conditional, obscure, or which contain additions not allowed for; accept or reject any bids/proposal in whole or in part with or without cause; and accept the bid/proposal which best serves the City Question Deadline Aug 02, 2024 at 5:00 PM Notice of award of contract shall be given by the Owner within sixty (60) calendar days following the opening of bids. The successful bidder must qualify within two (2) working days after bid opening, by submitting such additional evidence as may be required by the City. The awarded bidder must furnish Certificates of Insurance that meet the City requirements within ten (10) days of award. Should the bidder fail to produce evidence satisfactory to the City on any of the foregoing points, he may be disqualified, and the work awarded to the next responsible bidder so qualifying. Project Documentation: The Bidder shall review all project documentation, including the plans and specifications: FY 2024 THE LIN DELL ESTATE WATER DISTRIBUTION UPSIZING PROJECT. Work Orders: All work orders will be issued by the City of Glenn Heights. There is not a minimum amount of work orders that can be issued in a month; however, timeframes will be adjusted accordingly to reflect the amount of work requested. The work to be included in a single work order will be paid under the Construction Contingency item of work. The Contractor is expected to begin work specified in the work order within three (3) calendar days of receiving the work order. The work order will clearly specify a timeframe for the work to be complete that is included in the work order. If the timeframe is not sufficient for the Contractor, the Contractor must notify the City, in writing, with an explanation and a preferred timeframe for consideration. The City reserves the right to establish the final timeframe for all work orders. The successful Bidder must also prepare and maintain a log spreadsheet for tracking purposes of each location where work was performed and provide a copy of this spreadsheet to the City at the completion of the contract for verification and acceptance by the City FOR: FY 2024 THE LIN DELL ESTATE WATER DISTRIBUTION UPSIZING PROJECT Line Item 1: Construction of 1775 LF of 8" water main w/ fittings, trenching, embedment, backfilling, and surface restoration (Open Cut / Bore.)This item includes providing a temporary water supply to the residents during the construction per the Specification and details attached. This item also includes all necessary tests, including Pressure and Bacteria tests. Open Cut crossing UHL RD is not allowed. Line Item 1-2: Construction of 400 LF of 8" water main w/ fittings, trenching, embedment, backfilling, and surface restoration (Bore only.)This item includes providing a temporary water supply to the residents during the construction per the Specification and details attached. This item also includes all necessary tests, including Pressure and Bacteria tests. This item is for all roadway and driveway/sidewalk crossing. Replacement of the driveways have separate line item. Line Item 2: Installation of Seventeen 8" Gate valves and box per Specification and details attached. (City of Glenn Heights and NCTCOG Specs.) Line Item 3: Installation of five Fire hydrant assemblies with 6" PVC lead, all fittings, Gate valves, installation, and painting per Specification and details attached. (City of Glenn Heights and NCTCOG Specs.) Line Item 4: Installation/replacement of 3/4 " Polyethylene residential water service (short side / same side as water main) per Specification and details attached. Line Item 5: Installation/replacement of 3/4 " Polyethylene residential water service (long side/crossing roadway) per Specification and details attached. Line Item 6: Cut, remove, and replace concrete driveway complete in place: (if applicable) ( Not applicable for Bore. The concrete driveway shall be the same thickness as the existing driveway, with a minimum of 3500 psi and a #4 rebar at 24 in OC. Line Item 7: Cut, remove, and replace the asphalt driveway entirely in place (if applicable) (Not applicable for bore) Min. 2" type C or D asphalt with Min. 6" Cement stabilized cement. (Min. Cement content is 4% , by dry weight. (About 20 pounds per square yard per 6-inch thickness..) Line Item 8: Sawcut, remove, and replace existing asphal
