Safty/traf oper, bicycle/pedestrian/ Mileposts : MP 104.660 - 104.830 For the work of upgrading and improving the gap in pedestrian access and traffic flow at the Naples Elementary School. Improvements will include sidewalk that connects the elementary school to the Naples Pedestrian Railroad Crossing project east of the elementary and provides a defined loading zone for busses and cars and includes installing Flashing School Zone signs and Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons. Crosswalks with flashing signs and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) pedestrian ramps will also be constructed at intersections along Schoolhouse Road. As of March 08, 2025, the project is in Conceptual status. Anticipated letting year is 2027. IDDOT - Local, Naples Elementary School Pedestrian Safety Improvement *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
