Demolition and abatement of Arnold and Smith Halls located at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. The University may evaluate the Proposals based on the anticipated completion of all or any portion of the Project. The University reserves the right to divide the Project into multiple parts, to reject any and all Proposals to the current solicitation and reissue a completely new solicitation involving the same Project, or to reject any and all Proposals and temporarily or permanently abandon the Project. University makes no representations, written or oral, that it will enter into any form of agreement for any project with any Respondent to this CSP and no such representation is intended or should be construed by the issuance of this CSP. The University reserves the right to waive the failure of any response to comply with requirements set forth in this CSP where the failure is not, in the University's opinion, substantial in nature Scope of Work Includes the Following: Demolition and Abatement of Arnold & Smith Halls CSP Scope of Work The street between Arnold & Smith Halls will be demolished and hauled off. Refer to the site plans in shaded area noted for exact locations. Please refer to bidding documents located in article 5.2 under Section 5 Refer to the site plans for locations of existing retaining walls to be demolished and hauled off site. Note, Arnold Hall Building #4 to be demolished only after the existing data lines have been re-routed. Arnold Hall Building #7 is to be demolished only during Winter Break (December 15th thru December 31st, 2024). Smith Hall Building #1 is to be demolished only during Winter Break (December 15th thru December 31st, 2024). The other existing buildings on the construction site should be scheduled for demolition by the contractor as they determine appropriate order. Note on site the approximate location to cut and cap the building sewer lines, at the back of the curb. Sidewalks and curbing to be addressed during the project. Ensure proper campus standards for tree protection of all trees that are to remain on site undamaged. Refer to the tree site plan for further details. Refer to the Tree Site plan showing areas where scrub bushes and trees to be removed. Please refer to the Campus Construction Standards regarding landscaping in the link located in article 2.3 under section 2 Contractor will be responsible for removal of and hauling off site any remaining furniture, appliances, HVAC compressors & code compliance refrigeration recovery, miscellaneous items. POINT-OF-CONTACT: The University designates the following person as its representative and Point- of- Contact for this CSP. Respondents shall restrict all contact with the University and direct all questions regarding this CSP, including questions regarding terms and conditions, in writing, to the Point-of-Contact person, via email only.
