Repaving of alleys in multiple locations throughout the City. All Bid Proposals shall be accompanied by a bid bond in form and from a surety satisfactory to Owner, in an amount equal to at least ten percent of the Total Contract Price named in the Schedule of Prices section of the Contract/Proposal form. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in the penal sum of the full amount of the Contract Price, on forms provided by Owner from a surety company acceptable to Owner. Each bid must be accompanied by a letter from such a surety company stating that it will execute Bonds, on forms provided by Owner, upon award of the Contract to Bidder. If this Contract/Proposal is accepted, Bidder proposes, and agrees, that Bidder shall commence the Work within 10 days after Owner's acceptance of this Contract/Proposal provided Bidder shall have furnished to Owner all bonds and all insurance certificates specified in this Contract/Proposal (the "Commencement Date"). If this Contract/Proposal is accepted, Bidder proposes, and agrees, that Bidder shall perform the Work diligently and continuously and shall complete the Work not later than December 1, 2024. Owner reserves the right to make clarifications, corrections, or changes in this Request for Proposals at any time prior to the time proposals are opened. All Bidders or prospective Bidders will be informed of said clarifications, corrections, or changes by addendum.
