Renovation of a multi-residential development in Boston, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
BHA is seeking quotations for replacement of Drop in Stair's at various locations at the above mentioned property Stairs shall be either prefabricated steel DROP-IN STAIR system complete with factory assembled stair units, factory fabricated stair treads, horizontal header and landing channels including vertical supports (steel angle) struts, hanger rods and connectors, columns, or welded embedment plates to join with existing system as prepared to receive new stair product. Or individual stair pans consisting of 12 gauge metal stair pan tread & riser with a concrete tread. Metal stair assembly shall carry a minimum uniform live load of 100 pounds per square foot of projected plan area. Railing assembly shall withstand a minimum concentrated load of 250 pounds applied in any direction at any point on the top rail. Deflection of metal stairs shall not exceed 1/240th of the span
