Vinyl Siding Installation Question Deadline 08/08/2024 Any vendor questions not asked during the site visit must be submitted in writing to: Brooklyn.CMM.Bids@opwdd.ny.gov within two business days of the site visit Both questions and answers (if any) will be provided to all who attend the site visit via email by: August 13, 2024. Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 30% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 7% Supply & Install New 4.5" Dutch Lap Insulated Siding, House Wrap and Facia Boards as Needed Summary of Work: Supply and Install Insulated 4.5" Double Dutch Lap Vinyl Siding, Leaders, Gutters and Downspouts and fascia board as needed. Existing Stonework Not to Be Touched. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% Vinyl Siding Installation. The Vendor to supply and install all Materials and Labor to complete the work in a professional manner according to scope of work and architectural drawings if supplied. Work is to be completed within 7 days of award, unless modified below. This is a NYS Public Works project and prevailing wages are to be paid. Refer to attached specification for the following scope of work. Site must be cleaned, and all materials secured at the end of each work day. Absolutely no scraps, especially fasteners, are to be left unsecured. Upon completion of Flooring installation, contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality assurance inspection with Plant Superintendent. Important: This NYS/OPWDD residential home is and will be occupied during construction work. All provisions must be made to minimize disruption and keep the home safe for occupants. No egress routes shall be blocked at any time. Materials and debris must be protected for safety. Contractor must comply with all applicable NYS codes. SCOPE OF WORK: Includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1 Provide proper dust protection at all areas where work is to be performed. Prepare Bricks to receive new vinyl siding, all areas as required to be properly leveled. 2 Contractor must verify the actual measurements and conditions of work to be performed. 3 Site supervisor to be always on-site when work is getting performed. 4 Contractor is to supply all labor, materials and tools required to complete the job in a neat through and most timely fashion, no debris to be left onsite, failure to comply will terminate job immediately at contractor's cost! No storing of materials onsite. 5 Contractor to Supply and install 4.5" insulated Double Dutch lap vinyl siding around entire house, adhering to manufactures recommend installation. Color chosen once winning bidder has been chosen. 6 Contractor is to remove all existing leaders, gutters and downspouts and replace with new. 7 All gutters to have leaf guards installed. 8 Supply and install insulated house wrap on all areas where new siding will be installed. 9 Supply and install J channel around all windows and doors. All corners shall be cut on a 45-degree angle. 10 Supply and install new fascia board and cap off neatly and through with aluminum capping. 11 Capping of all soffits, and overhangs as needed in a neat through fashion. 12 All work to be completed in 7 business days not to interfere with day-to-day operations. 13 Completed Job must come with one-year Guarantee from Vendor. 14 No asbestos or lead abatement of materials is required for this project. 15 Contractor to provide 1-million-dollar liability insurance policy. 16 Work must be continuous until completion of job
