Site work for a water / sewer project in Springfield, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Job Location: 1128 E Adams Job Description: New Water lines 1.This IS a prevailing wage job if over 2k. Davis Bacon Wages are to be paid (unless the person(s) working on the job is owner(s) or is an apprentice/trainee) 2.Call Troy Boyer if you have questions and/or if you want to set up a time to look at the location o Contractor will be responsible for keeping the site free of debris, and hazardous materials. Site should be cleaned at the end of each work period o Contractor shall accomplish the scope of work herein as indicated on the following page(s). o Any change orders on below listed scope of work SHA (Troy Boyer) will need to be notified and a written order of change will need to be done o Bore 2 - 4 inch PVC lines with tracer wire o All 8 water lines will enter into apt H under staircase through concrete floor o Each line will then go overhead to each mechanical room through open floor web trusses o Water heaters will need to be removed SHA (Randy) will check water heaters- if a new water heater is to be put in SHA will install new water heater o New water lines will be run to bathroom and kitchen in apt H only- they are run underground now. o Holes in mechanical rooms will be repaired by SHA or a separate bid out o All new water piping shall be CTS plastic and pex tubing o All old water piping can stay in ground but will be obsolete o Five lower units will be bid out when vacant to run new water lines to kitchen and bathroom The Bid Proposal should provide Springfield Housing Authority sufficient detail to allow it to properly evaluate one's bid. More specifically, the bid should identify the size and type of produce and equipment being proposed, methodology for installation, scope of work provided, and qualifications, if any. Permits: The contractor is responsible for all permits, payment of fees and expenses that may be mandated requirement for this project. The contractor supplies all materials except window o Contractor shall comply with manufacture's written installation instructions o Contractor will be responsible to keep the buildings protected from the elements at all times and will keep sidewalk and parking lot area free of all nails, debris, and other hazards during this project o All codes must be followed o OSHA rules and regulations must be observed 1 The SHA reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in the IFB process, or to terminate the IFB process at any time, if deemed by the SHA to be in its best interests. 2 The SHA reserves the right not to award a contract pursuant to this IFB. 3 The SHA reserves the right to terminate a contract awarded pursuant to this IFB, at any time for its convenience upon 10 days written notice to the successful bidder(s). 4 The SHA reserves the right to determine the days, hours and locations that the successful bidder(s) shall provide the services called for in this IFB. 5 The SHA reserves the right to retain all bids submitted and not permit withdrawal for a period of 60 days subsequent to the deadline for receiving bids without the written consent of the SHA Contracting Officer. 6 The SHA reserves the right to negotiate the fees proposed by the bidder entity. 7 The SHA reserves the right to reject and not consider any bid that does not meet the requirements of this IFB, including but not necessarily limited to incomplete bids and/or bids missing required information. Question Deadline 07/31/2024 at 5:00 PM CT All questions and requests for information must be addressed in writing to the Contracting Officer. Davis-Bacon and/or State Prevailing Wage: Attention is called to the fact this is a Davis Bacon and/or State Prevailing Wage project, wage report attached. (Wages are to include fringe benefits). Bonds: A Performance Bond and Payment Bond; or 20% cash escrow; or 25% irrevocable letter of credit will be required for the amount of the contract should the contract exceed $5,000.00. A 5% Bid Bond will be required for all projects of $50,000.00 or more.
