Scope of Work of the Contract includes Paving Facilities of Ashland Street Dedication 1 and Ashland Street Dedication 2. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or a certified or cashier check, acceptable to the Owner, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount Bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into the Contract and execute the Bonds on the forms provided, and provide the required insurance certificates within seven (7) days after the date Contract Documents are received by the Contractor. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive all defects and irregularities in bidding or bidding process except time of submitting a Bid. Question Deadline 08/09/2024 All questions shall be submitted to the Engineer via electronically WORKSEQUENCE Within 10daysfromthe dateofthe NoticetoProceed, the Contractor shal submit a constructionschedule tothe Enginer foraproval. Theschedule shall beinthe formof a Gant Chart(barchart)and shal indicatethe order in which the work is to be performed. The sequence and interdependence of al major activities must be shown. The schedule shal bedrawn toa calendartime scale. The commencementand completiondates for each activity shal beshown, aswell as the durationincalendardays, for each activity. Thescheduleshal show notonly the activities for actualphysicalconstructionofthe project, but also the activitiessuch asthe Contractor's submittalof shopdrawings and the Enginer's review and aprovalofthe shopdrawings. Failure toinclude any element of work required tocompletethe projectwithinthe scheduled contract timeshal notrelease the Contractor fromhis obligation to complete the work in accordance with the contract documents. The Contractor shal updatethe constructionschedule monthly toreflect the progres ofthe work. The updated schedules shal besubmitted tothe Engineerfor aproval. Monthly partial payments will bedependentupon submission of an updated construction schedule satisfactory tothe Engineer. Ifthe actualprogres of the work fallsbehindthe Contractor's aproved constructionschedule, the Owner may elect todeductthe valueofworkscheduled but not completed from progresspaymentsdue.
