Renovation of a municipal facility in Atkins, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 47,500-square-foot municipal facility.
Mount Rogers Community Services is currently soliciting bids for roof system at Smyth ESS Building located at 271 Mountain Empire Road, Atkins, Va. 24382. Installation of Roof System. Reference-Smyth IDC Building at 271 Mountain Empire Road, Atkins, VA approx. 45,500 sq. ft. of Roof Area & approx. 2,000 sq. ft. of Vertical Wall Area. REQUIRED 50/60MIL PVC system with 20-year warranty. Sections # 1 & # 2 - Furnish and install Expanded Polystyrene insulation board between raised flutes of metal panel roof system. Mechanically attach 1/2" Expanded Polystyrene insulation cover board over EPS flute filler to provide a smooth rigid roof surface. Mechanically attach single ply PVC roofing membrane per manufacturer's recommendations. Extend membrane up and over parapet wall on Section # 1. Terminate at outside perimeter with 1 3/4" fascia bar and cover. Flash walls, pipes, curbs, and other penetrations to factory specifications. Clean up and remove project related debris. Section # 3 - Remove and dispose of existing EPDM membrane and underlying insulation. Furnish and install Expanded Polystyrene insulation board between raised flutes of metal panel roof system. Mechanically attach 1/2" Expanded Polystyrene insulation cover board over EPS flute filler to provide a smooth rigid roof surface. Mechanically attach single ply PVC roofing membrane per manufacturer's recommendations. Extend membrane through internal gutter approx. 72.5' in length. Extend membrane up and over parapet walls. Terminate at outside perimeter with 1 3/4" fascia bar and cover. Flash walls, pipes, curbs, and other penetrations to factory specifications. Clean up and remove project related debris. Section # 4 - Install 1/2" HD Polyisocyanurate insulation board over existing insulated metal panels. Fully adhere single ply PVC fleece back roofing membrane per manufacturer's recommendations. Terminate at outside perimeter with 1 3/4" fascia bar and cover. Flash walls, pipes, curbs, and other penetrations to factory specifications. Clean up and remove project related debris.
