Renovation of a residential development in Windsor, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
General: The following is an outline of the Scope of Work. This Scope of Work includes all labor and materials required to perform the construction work as described below. The contractor is responsible for obtaining permits; providing complete, thorough, and compliant services to all work; and for coordinating as appropriate with the work of all other trades specified elsewhere. All work must be performed in compliance with all applicable National, State, and Local Codes. HVAC- (2)Navien Gas Combo Unit- Division 23 A. Conditions: 1. All work shall be completed in a workman-like manner according to standard practices. 2. Any alteration or deviation due to unforeseen conditions will be addressed through a change order prior to commencing work. 3. The contractor shall be responsible for all permit fees, labor, material; and taxes related to the installation of the new oil-fired boiler. 4. The new units shall be installed in compliance with all state, local, and federal codes pertaining to the installation of the proposed system. 5. Contractor accepts responsibility of all the work associated with the removal and installation of the unit. B. Procedures: 1. Remove existing boilers and hot water heaters 2. Remove (2) abandoned tanks located in the basement 3. Provide & install (2) new gas fired Navien gas fired combination boilers. 4. Include the installation of all gas lines and meters, 5. Boiler replacement shall include but not necessarily limited to the following: whole home required heating load calculation, new expansion tank, Spiro vent, pressure reducing valve, circulator pumps, back flow preventer, low water cutoff, pressure relief valve, electrical thermo cut off switch, and PVC direct intake and exhaust including wall flanges and vent terminators; verify new venting penetration distance to adjacent units concentric vent location a) Provide condensate pump with neutralizer and connect to existing waste water system or floor drain, not the exterior b) Connect to the existing domestic water distribution piping & baseboard convectors that service the entire unit, verify and replace defective zone valves, verify domestic hot water temperature flow and clean aerators as needed c) Provide new programmable thermostat d) All controls, wiring, plumbing and venting is to be included by contractor for the above installed equipment e) Test system and refer to specifications for additional information 6.
