Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Butler, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

As of September 18, 2024, the project was awarded to Mike Fitzpatrick Contractors, Inc., with an awarded amount of $881,425.50. The project limits include the entire length of Main Street, Short Street, and Plane Street starting and ending at the bridges across to the Hamburg Turnpike on both ends. The total project length is approximately 3,894 linear feet (0.738 mile). The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: resetting existing manholes; resetting or reconstruct storm inlets and castings; installation of new storm inlets; replacement of select storm drain pipes; removal of select existing curbs and installation of new concrete curbs; replacement of select ADA curb ramps; removal of select existing sidewalks and driveway aprons, replacement of existing sidewalk pavers with concrete, and installation of new Portland cement concrete sidewalks and driveway aprons at select locations; asphalt milling and road resurfacing; replacement of traffic control signs; and, traffic striping. The main items of construction and approximate quantities include, but are not necessarily limited to: 21,00 square yards of asphalt milling; 2,500 tons of hot mixed asphalt surface course, two (2") inches thick, mix 12.5 M64; 300 tons of hot mixed asphalt surface course, two (2") inches thick, mix 9.5 M64; resetting of twenty-five (25) storm inlets with new cast irons frames, grates, and head pieces; replacement and installation of seventeen (17) concrete storm inlets of various types and sizes; replacement of 190 feet of beam guiderails with four (4) end treatments; installation of 95 linear feet of 8" and 16" diameter DI storm drain pipe; 1,450 linear feet of concrete curbs; 700 square yards of Portland cement concrete sidewalks, four (4") inches thick; 175 square yards of Portland cement concrete driveway aprons, six (6") inches thick with reinforcement; 75 square yards of concrete ADA ramps, six (6") thick with reinforcement; installation of ten (10) square yards of cast-iron ADA detectable warning surfaces; and, 11,000 linear feet of four (4") inch wide epoxy striping. A bid may be withdrawn prior to the time for opening of bids or authorized postponement thereof upon written application of the Bidder who shall be required to produce evidence showing that individual is or represents the principal or principals involved in the bid. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Guarantee in an amount of the lesser of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price or Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00), in the form of a certified check or cashier's check payable to the Borough or a Bid Bond issued by a Surety authorized to transact business in New Jersey and found acceptable by the Borough. Each bid must also be accompanied by the consent of a similarly acceptable Surety, guaranteeing a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond and a one hundred percent (100%) Labor and Material Payment Bond will be furnished upon award of the Contract. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities, deviations or omissions in any or all bids, and to accept such bids and make awards as may be most advantageous to the Borough. All bids must conform to the models and directions contained in the Specifications. Bids must be made on the included standard proposal forms in the manner designated therein and required by the Specifications, and must be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked with the project identification and the name and address of the Bidder. Estimated Budget: $700,000 to $800,000 If the Contract is awarded, no refunds will be given. If for any reason the Contract is not awarded, refunds will immediately be returned to bidders
