Bids must be on the bid form prepared by Bach Associates, PC, in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder on the outside and also bearing on the outside reference to the particular work bid upon. The Borough of Stratford reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the Borough of Stratford. MBE (19%), WBE (6.9%) Substantial Completion: Sixty (60) Calendar Days Final Completion: Seventy Five (75) Calendar Days Scope- This project involves the resurfacing of Central Avenue within the Borough of Stratford. BASE BID - STA 21+74.22 TO STA 29+95.23 Central Avenue will be resurfaced by means of mill and overlay. The roadway will be milled to a depth of two inches (2") deep. Areas of the roadway exhibiting signs of failure will require hot mix asphalt pavement repair which will be field located by the Engineer. A section of the roadway designated on the plans will be excavatedto a depth of twelve inches (10") and reconstructed with six inches (6") of dense graded aggregate and four inches (4") of hot mix asphalt 19M64 base course. The entire roadway will then receive a two inch (2") thick layer of hot mix asphalt 9.5M64 surface course. In addition to the reconstructing of the existing roadway, there will be full replacement of driveway aprons. Concrete curb will be constructed along portions of Central Avenue as indicated on the plans. ADA accessible handicap ramps will be installed in accordance with NJDOT specifications. Traffic symbols and signage will be installed as indicated on project plans. Topsoil, fertilizer and seed will be placed at all disturbed areas. ADD ALTERNATE BID #1 - STA 18+26.39 TO STA 21+25.82 Add Alternate Bid #1 will consist of face forming curb along Central Avenue as indicated on the plans. The Contractor shall be responsible to remove excess unwanted materials from the project site and dispose of all excess unwanted materials in an approved manner. Should the Borough of Stratford want any excess material, the material shall be delivered to the Borough's site at no additional charge. Vehicular and pedestrian traffic is to be maintained over the roadway within the scope of the project at all times. All Construction Items will be funded by the FY 2023 NJDOT Municipal Aid Program.
